The One and Only Very Special Lichen Library
| Here is a presentation by lichenologist, Garry Neil from 2016. Garry has an academic background in lichen physiology and ecology. Retirement has provided an opportunity for him to delve into lichen taxonomy and identification, especially in the Sedona, AZ area where he volunteers for Friends of the Forest and works with the Coconino National Forest on cataloguing and identifying local lichens. This powerpoint by Garry is a great "Lichen 101" presentation with some information on species known from here in Arizona.

Come on and join us for a Virtual Lichen Foray in the red rocks of Sedona, Arizona. This is a video of the initial discussion at the Red Rock Lichen Foray that took place on April 7, 2021. Lichenologist Garry Neil provided a detailed discussion of local lichens with mounted examples.
