You are invited to a five-course wild mushroom dinner, accompanied by optional wine pairings.

The menu highlights seasonal foraged flavors inspired by the forest and Sonoran desert— from chanterelles, matsutake, black trumpets, and piñon pine, to wolfberry, acorns, prickly pear, and more. The evening begins with a savory, complex bite to open the journey, followed by a fresh, vibrant salad. A rich, creamy pasta leads into the main course, and the night closes with a sweet, unexpected dessert. Two seatings are offered at 4 pm and 7 pm in the candlelit dining room of the rustic Strawberry Lodge & Ristorante in Strawberry, Arizona. Reservations required. Prix fixe menu. $175 plus tax and gratuity. Wine pairing by a local winery owned by Maynard James Keenan.

About the chef: Jess Starwood has spent over a decade as a forager and creative wild food chef in the Los Angeles area, hosting unique and intimate dining experiences for the curious foodie. She has foraged and consulted for Michelin-starred chefs, including Niki Nakayama (n/naka) and Aitor Zabala (Somni), and contributed her expertise to Copenhagen’s three-Michelin-starred Noma for its upcoming Los Angeles pop-up (2026). Now a resident of Arizona, Starwood brings together thoughtful presentation and distinctive regional flavors to create a multi-sensory journey—an edible portrait of time and place.
