Similar to the 2021 Annual Foray, we have rented out the Luna Lake Group Campsites near Alpine, AZ. We have reserved all three group campsites at Luna Lake and will be opening up these spots to AMS members in July for registration. This will be a great opportunity to camp with like-minded fungi fans and possibly meet new friends that you can find and learn about mushrooms with!

This page allows you to register for a campsite for one or more nights in one of these group campsites. The Luna Lake Campground is approximately 5 miles outside of Alpine, AZ and provides easy access to the Alpine Community Center where we will be doing presentations and our Mushroom Meal on Saturday evening.

Campsites are undeveloped without electricity and include access to campsite toilets and a water source. Each campsite includes a place to park a vehicle and pitch a tent or RV or camper. Pull-out camping spots are small and RVs or campers should be less than 25 feet in length. Each campsite will have a campsite lead who will check you in and can answer basic questions. No refunds available for cancellations.

Luna Lake Campground includes a number of group campsites, individual campsites, and a day use area for folks to park and fish at the lake. The group campsites are on the far side of the lake from the road, and require you to drive all the way around to the end of the campground road. Each groups campsite (A, B, and C) includes a loop made of a dirt road, which provides access to relatively flat and open pull-offs where you can park and pitch a tent, put-up your camper, park your RV, etc. Most of the pull-off spaces are small and campground loops are primitive roads that would likely be difficult for larger RVs. You can learn more about what the Luna Lake Campground is like here.

Please understand that you need to register for campsites and forays separately. To attend one of the group mushroom forays, please make sure to register, here. If you want to register for more than one vehicle and/or night, make sure to register for each vehicle each night separately as well.
