We are very excited to announce the Mountain Monster Mushroom Foray on Friday, August 27, 2021! This is an all day, 10-15 mile hike to some of the best mushroom habitat in northern Arizona. To register you must be an advanced hiker that can handle hiking 10-15 miles at high elevations with steep slopes. 

This event has limited space and involves hiking long distances under extremely arduous conditions. The trail will include over 2,000 feet of elevation gain and include strenuous activity at elevations above 10,000 feet.

We will be planning two small hiking groups, one of which will include an 8-10 mile hike at high elevations and one which will include a 12-15 mile hike at high elevations. Both groups will start north of Flagstaff at 8am. Due to the very difficult physical requirements for this event no children or dogs may attend.

This event is free for AMS members to register. Registrants can bring up to one guest. Due to the very limited space, please only register if you are sure you are available to attend.
