Are you sick of all the mushrooms yet? Us neither. In fact, this unbelievable season calls for a celebration! There is no better way to celebrate than to double-down on mushroom madness and take a dive further down the rabbit hole to learn more about the fun of photographing our fungi friends.

And double-down we did by calling in a true artist and and mushroom enthusiast, Jess Starwood, to share tips and tricks for how to best photograph mushrooms for FREE to AMS members. There is no better way to enjoy and appreciate the beauty of the fungi kingdom.

Join us for a very special presentation by Jess Starwood named, Mushroom Wanderland: Capturing the Magic of Fungi Through the Lens.

We will explore the alluring world of fungi as seen through the creative lens, no matter what type of camera you have. Forager, author and photographer Jess Starwood will share tips and tricks to capture their ephemeral beauty, just in time for the mushrooms of summer. We’ll even talk a little bit about photographing and styling with mushrooms on the plate once we get them into the kitchen.

Jess Starwood is an herbalist, forager and chef who educates the community about wild food, herbal medicine and our natural connection to the land through what we eat. She has a Master’s of Science degree in Herbal Medicine and is the author of the upcoming Mushroom Wanderland: A Forager’s Guide to Finding, Identifying and Using 25 Wild Fungi available August 17, 2021 from Countryman Press. www.jstarwood.com
