Registration Full!

The Arizona Mushroom Society has created a special opportunity for you to get away for a fungi-filled evening of fine dining at the beautiful and bountiful Nordic Center just north of Flagstaff. We have specifically designed this event to minimize the potential for Covid transmission.

We have snatched up the lodging at this picture perfect spot for the evening of August 22, during what is traditionally peak season for mushroom fruiting in northern AZ. We have also arranged for one-of-a-kind wild mushroom meals to be prepared and delivered by local chefs and fellow wild mushroom lovers from Coppa Cafe and Square Root Burger. President of the Arizona Mushroom Society, Mike Dechter, will be providing information and identification of wild mushrooms for participants to help ID and learn more about any wild mushrooms you may find in the area. You will be in wild mushroom heaven!

There are 7 lodging options. This is for the night of August 22, 2020 only. Information and photos of each of the units for rent can be found at their Airbnb links:

• Ponderosa Room - $100. Studio apartment in lodge, kitchen, linens, a queen size bed and a full-size pull-out sofa bed.
• Pinyon Cabin $100. Upgraded, furnished w/linens, full size bed and twin size bunk bed.
• Spruce Cabin $85. full size bed and twin size bunk bed, no linens.
• Oak Cabin - $85. full size bed and twin size bunk bed, no linens.
• Iris Yurt - $75. Includes two twin size sleeping pads, no linens.
• Sage Yurt - $75. Includes two twin size sleeping pads, no linens.
• Lily Yurt - $75. Includes two twin size sleeping pads, no linens.

Registration to rent one of these cabins is a separate event from the flagstaff small-group forays that are to occur earlier in the day and must be registered separately.

Those who register for a cabin rental will receive more information and will be contacted directly for food orders. Payment will be due by August 10, once food orders have been made.
