AMS Vice-President Bill Warner will be giving a talk entitled "Mushrooming Arizona: Edible & Poisonous Mushrooms for Beginners" on Thursday, July 27, at 7:00 PM. This will take place in the Arizona State University Biological Collections museum in the ASU Alameda Building, at 734 W. Alameda Drive, TempeParking is available immediately outdoors to the east of the building. The museum entrance is near the SE corner of the building.

In anticipation of the August club forays,  this lecture is intended for "beginners" in the group, those needing a refresher, and those who would like some biology and pictures of our local mushrooms.

Seating is limited to 50, so please sign up promptly. Member registration for this talk will open at 8:00 am on Monday, July 10. Each primary member may bring as many family members as desired, as well as one non-member guest. If the event does not fill, anyone will be allowed to register as a guest beginning Friday, July 14 at 8:00 am.

Dr. Nico Franz and his staff have graciously agreed to be present from 5:30 pm up to the talk for anyone interested in visiting the collections and seeing the various exhibits. They have a good collection of lichens, as well as a large entomological collection and many other biological specimens.
